They are almost morbidly obsessed with writing about death, loss and loneliness; nevertheless their music is relentlessly upbeat, uplifting and optimistic. In their brilliant collaborative debut, two of Scotland’s finest young songwriters have created an album of beguiling and ingenious indie-pop that thrives on its multifaceted nature.
